Xyphlo
Wood Scupltures
Oil Paintings
Since they are granular rather than dusty, sawdust does not adequately describe the wood particles that compose Xyphlo® (pronounced “zi-flo"). The word Xyphlo originates from Xylem and Phloem, which are the inner layers of the tree. T'Afo calls the process of creating images with Xyphlo “Xyphling.” This process is used to create landscapes, portraits, stills, and abstracts, which are colored naturally from the wood.
